Welcome to BTU SIAM Student Chapter!
SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) is one of the largest international organizations in the field of applied mathematics. It operates worldwide with more than 14,000 individual members and over 500 institutional members, including universities, research centers, and companies.
SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) is an international academic community that brings together not only experts in applied mathematics, but also researchers and students from data science, computer science, optimization, engineering, and many related disciplines.
Bursa Technical University has joined this prestigious international network as the third SIAM Student Chapter in Türkiye, following Middle East Technical University and Sabancı University. Through the SIAM Student Chapter, students gain free SIAM student membership, providing access to SIAM journals, academic activity groups, and a wide range of scientific resources.

There are approximately 200 SIAM Student Chapters worldwide, and building communication and collaboration with student chapters at other universities will be possible through the active participation of the BTU community.
SIAM Academic Activities
SIAM publishes 16 leading peer-reviewed journals, including SIAM Review, SIAM Journal on Financial Mathematics, SIAM Journal on Imaging Sciences, and SIAM/ASA Journal on Uncertainty Quantification.
In addition, SIAM:
Publishes SIAM News with 10 issues per year,
Publishes approximately 25 new books annually,
Organizes numerous international conferences and scientific meetings, and publishes the proceedings of these events.
